Digital Garment Printing

Digital Garment Printing - Huge Improvement Over Silk Screening

Why has digital garment printing exploded in the printed garment industry?
It’s simple! Customers now have an unlimited number of creative options and much lower prices compared to the old silkscreen technology. The old silk screening methods required expensive set up fees, higher minimum orders and offered limited color options. Every aspect of silk screening cost the consumer more.

Today’s digital garment printing is a versatile process. No longer are cumbersome screens used, but modern ink-jet printers print directly onto the fabric. This allows the ability to reproduce photographic images or computer-generated art easily onto a huge variety of objects. Silk screening can’t even begin to compete with the low cost and versatility of digital garment printing.

Sometimes referred to as direct to garment printing (DTG), consumers can have items produced on a “print to order” basis. Just as in typical inkjet publishing, DTG printers have the capability of reproducing an unlimited number of colors. This makes the printed image true to the color of the artwork. It is ideal for short runs of up to 100 or more where the design contains multiple colors. This makes an inexpensive way to produce promotional apparel at low quantities. Gatherings of any kind including family reunions, charity events, corporate events and neighborhood parties can be promoted inexpensively by using the DTG process.

Customers can select both dark and light fabrics with full color using water-based inks. From t-shirts to totes and banners our customers are never charged a set-up fee and there is no minimum order. If you only need a few items printed, this is no longer a problem. There is not a minimum order and you don’t have to settle for just one color as when using the old silkscreen printing. You can get exactly what you want at a very affordable price.

It’s true digital garment printing offers unbelievable custom design options at affordable prices. Customers have also found that they no longer have to deal with the stiff heavy feel of plastic caused by the old screen printing technology. Garments printed with digital garment printing wash and wear beautifully. The fabric is soft and the design stays bright and clear wash after wash.
